The desire of sugar. My confession, I love cupcakes. I can imagine the perfect cupcake the middle filled with sweet fresh fruit and silky sweet frosting. The first time I went sugar free for the month, I imagined the perfect moment when I would allow myself the cupcake. I imagined that I would be sitting at a table, with a crisp white table cloth, silver utensils and a delicately designed plate in front of me. The temperature in the room would be around 78 degrees, and I would feel completely rested and comfortable. I imagined the perfect cupcake, for me, it's a white cake with a raspberry filling and lightly sweet creamy and smooth frosting. I would be presented with the perfect cupcake and a piping hot cup of black coffee. Then, we would have a moment…

Yikes! My addiction may have went too far. Sugar is the nemesis of us - we love it we hate it. It does no good for us, but we celebrate with it - it holds a very special place for us in our heart. I go sugar free ever so often, it makes me really pay attention to what I eat. And in the end, my over-all sugar intake is less because of it. Try it for yourself!
